I am the Director for Project Management at AOL where I am promoting agile processes throughout the entire enterprise. Prior to joining AOL, I ran my own company called Incrementor, an agile consulting and training company based in New York. During my career I have taught more than 1500 individuals in topics such as project management, requirements management, object-oriented analysis and design, Java and Smalltalk. In parallel I ran and mentored client projects from kick-off to deployment also in various roles.
With more than 15 years in IT, I have gained experience in several industries including manufacturing, finance, retail and media. Major stepping stones in my career include Mercedes-Benz, ParcPlace, Valtech and IBM. I have held various roles in software development and project, portfolio and program management as well as business analysis.
I have a Bachelor of Computer Science as well as a Masters of Computer Science degree with a focus on Computing for Commerce and Industry which I received from the Open University. I am the author of two books, Agile Portfolio Management (Microsoft Press 2008) and the Rational Unified Process – Reference and Certification Guide (Pearson 2007) and many articles released in different industry magazines. I am spearheading the New York City chapter of the APLN (Agile Project Leadership Network), I lectured and mentored at the New York University and speak nationally and internationally at conferences and companies. I have also founded the New York City chapter of the APLN which I am still spearheading.

with an Apple Macintosh
you can't run Radio Shack programs

nor can a Commodore 64

both Kaypro and Osborne computers use
the CP/M operating system
but can't read each other's

for they format (write on) disks in different
ways.
the Tandy 2000 runs MS-DOS but
can't use most programs produced for
